“The Born Electrics” – the name of a global influencer campaign for BMW i’s online and social media channels.
We developed a campaign where we worked closely with authentic BMW i3 drivers. We told the real-life stories of BMW i3 influencers. They are “The Born Electrics” – The First Followers of today’s electric mobility revolution.
Together with them, we demonstrated how easy it is to integrate BMW i into modern everyday life. Four selected BMW i3 drivers gave us insights into their life with electric mobility on the US West Coast. Steve, Kathryn, Chad, Lou, and Roger talked about connectivity, sustainability, charging times and road trips with their families. With passion and ease, the “Born Electrics” credibly conveyed and communicated expertise, educated, and created desire among existing and new customers alike.
This campaign is very significant for us at Dorten. Because in designing this campaign, we addressed a relevant set that is taken for granted today. Back then, things looked different. But BMW i and we at Dorten were certain at the time that electromobility would change our mobility. Just as our influencers thought it would and had the ability to take away prejudices, resentments and fears about a new, groundbreaking technology and cast it in a positive light.
