After the unprecedented success of the Art Guide – the travel guide for art enthusiasts – this was followed by the BMW Art Journey in cooperation with Art Basel \u2013 a format of the artist’s journey itself. From Albrecht D\u00fcrer to Marcel Duchamp and Joseph Beuys, outstanding artists have always set out on foreign journeys.<\/p>

BMW and Art Basel are reinterpreting the motif of the artist’s journey with the BMW Art Journey. The “tour guides” this time: young artists who, with a very personal intention, set out on a wandering journey through time and space of different societies, symbols and codes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A look outside to bring the essence of the BMW Art Journey to life, we chose a very personal perspective: “Seeing the world through an artist’s eyes.”<\/p>

This guiding principle in terms of content and design runs as a basic attitude throughout the entire conception and design of the various media. Thus, the dramaturgy of the journey became a manifesto that can be understood as a homage to the conceptual artist Lawrence Weiner.<\/p>

A format that continues to inspire to this day.
